Police say 23-year-old De’Corlion Keshaun Robinson came home to his apartment during his lunch break from work on August 13, 2025 and found Demetrice Beverly in bed with his live-in girlfriend of five years. Investigators say Robinson pulled a pistol modified with a “Glock switch” and fired multiple shots, killing Beverly in front of the woman, who called 911. Robinson is charged with murder and unlawful possession of a machine gun conversion device. His attorney argues emotions took over after Robinson unexpectedly discovered his girlfriend with Beverly, and that he should be charged with manslaughter instead of murder. Robinson is currently out of jail on bond for his state charges, but he was also taken into custody by the ATF and now faces federal charges for illegally possessing a machine gun.
