NOOOOOO, I didn't know that if I take one apple. Slice it into sections like that, remove the core and thinly slice each piece laying the slices on top of eachother and then drizzle agave or date syrup on to a parchment lined pan, layer on those apple slices, drizzle with a bit more syrup and cover with a slice of puff pastry and press down the edges, and then brush with vegan egg wash and bake for about 12 minutes or until caramelized and beautifully golden brown. and then I would have just made *The easiest 3 ingredient crispy mini apple tarts* that's just in time to celebrate the Jewish new year aka rosh hashanah and if I top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and let it right in, I'll create a full on apple pie
