@hannahstitfall: One of THE most insane wildlife filmmaking evenings ever! 🐘🎥✨ We’d set out on a boat as the light had started to fade in the lower Zambezi National park – the sounds of hippos and birds all around us as we cruised up taking it all in. Then all of a sudden our incredible guide Costain said ‘the elephants are crossing!’ – I couldn’t believe my ears! 🤯 As we all know, elephants are amazing swimmers – but it’s something I’d never seen in real life before! As we approached on the boat we looked out in front and saw a mass of what looked like huge dark grey nearly black rocks moving on the water’s surface – then all of a sudden a huge truck appeared from the water!! There they were! And they were just about to come onto one of the river islands to feed! 🤯🐘🥹 I got onto the floor of the boat as quickly as I could trying to get eye level with them – and then they emerged from the water! I was absolutely speechless! The contrasting colour of the bright blue water coupled with the dark of the elephants and the yellow/green of the long flower like grasses was next level!! For a moment in time it felt like we were in a movie!! We stayed with the Elephants until the sun had set then headed back to the lodge – but honestly one of the most magical wildlife filmmaking evenings I have ever had! Hope you like them! 😍 Thank you! #wildlifephotography #wildlife #safari #elephant
