You being bigger at one time should understand more than anyone the mental mind game. Of course we know we want to change but something is missing, whether is be dedication, motivation or the body that isn’t budging too much

Sir I was working out, eating clean and doing all the things and I was gaining weight at a rapid weight. I was called a liar over and over until finally one doctor listened and realized I needed medical support. Putting the fork down has never been an issue for me.

As someone who is over the 300lb mark. Some of us have medical conditions or even trauma through parents who put us on their diet pills in middle school. Yes it would be nice to be healthier and smaller, but I don’t wanna give my family that satisfaction of being smaller in sizing.

I have been told I don’t eat enough. People don’t realize that is a thing. The way I work I don’t make time to eat right. GRRR.. It’s not an excuse. It’s a way of life. Im alone most of my day and have to nibble between customers, and the other work I do. I go home and don’t eat. I’m exhausted and barely sleep as well. I try and try. I just want to give up by every day is a new day. More protein and water and I’ll be good to go.

It’s extremely hard to get medicine for conditions at times , I was diagnosed with pcos at 16 and now I’m 34 and they finally let me have metformin for my insuline resistance . If it’s a condition it’s not a choice .

I have PCOS. So my doctor tells me I have to lose weight to balance my hormones. I can’t lose weight without balancing my hormons. Also many medications make you gain weight. If it was so easy nobody would ever be overweight.

I think a message that people might “hear” better is how moving - starting small and progressing in intensity and duration- can help so much even before the weight loss progress starts. Better sleep, better posture, less back and joint pain, sometimes even better bloodwork. So many people’s thinking they have to go directly into jogging, full push ups and other activities that can look pretty intimidating. Some people over 50 think it’s too late to get fit. The key is measured progress and feeling supported through this journey. Because even if you are heavier and over 50, improved fitness can provide a better quality of life.

No one knows it’s a problem until it becomes a problem FOR them. just like being an alcoholic or a drug addict. no one seeks help until that’s the only option they have if they want to live a long healthy life.

You have to want to change if not you are going to fail. I’m down 45lbs so far still got more to lose but I just watch what eat and make sure to eat 3 meals a day just limit portion size. I also drink lots of water and cut out caffeine and all pop. Just need to start meal prepping.
