Yeah I still do this… But it’s actually a pretty harmless coping strategy. We get our feelings of ‘revenge’ and the other one isn’t even effected by it 🤷🏻♀

I sometimes did the opposite. When trying to be extra nice I would take the bad spoon and give the good one to someone else. Apparently for them those were just spoons - no good or bad

I was always worried I would upset my friends for claiming the good cutlery for myself so sometimes I took the worse spoon of fork myself and give my friend the better ones so I wouldn’t upset them… I ate with a worse spoon so my friend wouldn’t be upset and they couldn’t have cared any less! 😭😭

I still give my husband the forks and spoons I don't like. all the time, because I know he doesn't care. he finally caught on and now picks the ones I don't like and saves the good ones for me lol

my parents have a set of cutlery so everything is identical. I'd have probably gone mad otherwise. I always gave the person I was angry with (mainly my brother) the "dirty" cutlery (like when there's a small stain left after the dishwasher).
