I read it twice and the second time was better. One of the things I read talked about how maybe the kids and the wife are actually trapped with Thomas. Thomas is some kind of otherworldly spirit and he controlled this specific node.

I just don’t really consider it a horror novel. It felt more sci-fi/psychological thriller. I enjoyed it and I understand the ending is sort of left up to your interpretation. With that said, I wouldn’t mind if he did a follow up that would answer some questions.

Yeah agreed, it was hard to put down, but I think it relied way too much on ambiguity to create fear, so much that by the time I got to the ending, I felt more like “wtf?” rather than it leaving me to sit in dread (which I’m guessing it was intended to do? Idrk lol)
