Make them scrub, mop, vacuum, and sanitize like they’re auditioning for ‘World’s Saddest Employee of the Month.’ Then, just when they think they’ve earned their reward, yank $80 out of their hands and hand it to their siblings who’ve spent the day doing absolutely nothing. Smile smugly and say, ‘This, kids, is what socialism looks like taking from those who work and giving to those who don’t.’ If you want socialism to look as trendy as a root canal, nothing works better than giving your kids a front row seat to the pure absurdity of it. In America, we talk about fairness and equality, but this little exercise shows them the hard truth: work doesn’t always pay, laziness can be rewarded, and the system if we let it can turn merit into a punchline.
