I’m exhausted by how hard I’ve had to fight just to be taken seriously. I’ve been dealing with extreme chronic exhaustion for months, my body feels empty and heavy no matter how much I rest and instead of help I’ve been bounced around to different doctors, dismissed, invalidated, and told to basically just cope. In Ontario I can’t even get proper bloodwork to see a naturopath without jumping through hoops so now I’m paying out of pocket for answers. I believe it’s worth it but it shouldn’t be this hard and I shouldn’t have to beg to be listened to especially when it is severely affecting my quality of life. When you live with an autoimmune disease you learn really quickly that you have to advocate for yourself because no one else is going to connect the dots for you. I’m convinced this is related to my autoimmune disease because nothing else makes sense and I’m over pretending it’s “just stress” or something I should be able to push through. I’m going to be documenting this whole process because I know I’m not the only one feeling forgotten by the system. Anyways just needed to vent and if you relate to this you’re allowed to keep pushing until someone actually listens 🤍
