My teenager told me he doesn’t like grilled cheese and soup, rice and beans, or apples anymore. Boy, you better get a job and start contributing to our grocery budget if you want fancy!

We were given Elk meat and these “noodles”. I made a large batch of chili. This will feed us several times and cost us $8! Simple meal for the win.

Did this for years while paying off $50k+ of debt, now i still do it and travel a ton with the money that used to go to my debt! Eating out (esp here in nyc) is too expensive & not even good anymore! Its not worth it!

Multi purpose ingredients! Esp if it’s fresh and will go bad. Spinach in omelette, salad, sauteed, in soup.

“Themed weeks” help alot too. Do Mexican foods one week, Asian food the next, Italian food the week after that, etc. you reuse the ingredients up and nothing goes to waste. have a “make something out of nothing” at least once a week. I spend less than $200 a week on my fam of 4

People need to understand small habits like this save so much money in the long run. I’d rather eat and live frugally and be able to retire early.
