The 7th picture is good advice even if you’re NOT jet lagged ~ just saying 😘 Here is my jet lag survival guide as a disabled/chronically ill person ✈️ 1. Sleep for 18+ hours on your first day - no, I’m not kidding. Sleep as much as you can on that first day. I normally only sleep for about 12 hours, but this most recent trip completely knocked me out. Listen to your body and plan ahead! 2. Dress strictly in stretchy clothes! I’ve been wearing pjs, sweatpants, or leggings (granted, dressy leggings yesterday!) for 4 days. You’re already going to be uncomfortable, do what you can to help yourself. 3. Find something good to watch on TV (or a film/book, whatever you prefer!) I personally have been rewatching Gossip Girl on @hbomax - but my YouTube channel is available to binge as well 😉 4. Grab all of the blankets. Whether you build a fort or just pile them all on your lap, this mostly means to make a cozy space for yourself! 5. Cuddle a bad boy 🤣 Or a good boy. Or a neutral boy. Or not a boy at all. Lean on the people you love, whether it’s a pet or person! 6. Drink tea until noon, then switch to hot water I do this all the time anyways, but I’m including it here because I may or may not have lost track of the time of day over the weekend, drank caffeine at 3 PM, and was wide awake until 3 AM. Don’t be like me, stop caffeine earlier in the day, especially while jet lagged! 7. Ease back into work (if you can) Avoid unnecessary exhaustion/flare ups and ease back into work.
