Do all psychotherapists have to study the dsm this indepth? Or mostly psychiatrists since they’re the ones that diagnose?

Hey, I had a question that I’d like you to answer!! I recently heard about yumeshippers, people who see themselves in a romantic situation with a fictional character and genuinely believe that they and that character are in a relationship, and I was just wondering if this was in any way harmful or leads to any mental health concerns. Especially non sharing yumeshippers (yumes for short), who either ignore or actively harass others who share the same feelings for their romantic fictional partner. They’re affirmed by others with saying “your f/o (fictional other I’m guessing) only loves you” or something similar, which I see as confirming delusions. Seeing as you’re a therapist, I was just curious to see your reply because you’re trained in mental aspects.
