If Japan were to adopt food packaging similar to that of Western countries, I believe the food would be practically rotten by the time it was eaten at home due to the temperature and humidity. This is something one comes to realise after living in Japan for a long time.

We have to fight for accessibility. As someone who is blind I promise we are out here, but face with a lot more barriers when traveling. I am excited for my trip to Japan.

Japan is my favorite place in the world. I don’t think there’s more blind people lol that’s definitely an accessibility thing…my son is blind, I wish the US was more like Japan! Also Japan is the most amazing at recycling and how their trash is sorted out

Packaging is important to protect food from the humidity in Japan, but some packaging materials that look like plastic are actually degradable plastics, such as polyethylene.

Oddly, Japan tries to make life easy for blind people but not for wheelchair users, whilst in the UK it is exactly the other way around.

Japanese but lived in the states 10yrs. Japanese people are meticulous about cleanliness. We get into the bathtub everyday too.
