Don’t buy a new controller, get something called a mass air flow sensor cleaner, it’s meant to clean circuit boards but it works with sticks. It’s like 5 bucks at Walmart

I love how my first controller lasted me about 6 years with no issues but now I'm lucky that I can get 1 controller to survive almost a year.

actually its dust in the sensors, take it apart gently until you can carefully pry the sensors to a tilt and cotton swab and blow the dust or dirt out

by the way, the cost to manufacture a stick drift free joystick is 36 cents, to get stick drift its nearly 70 cents

yeah that’s neat and all but why would you pay $40 for a controller when you can spend eight dollars for a PCB that compensate for stick drift and then just borrow a soldering wand from your neighbor. Or if you’re not confident enough to do it yourself. You could ask your neighbor who knows how to do it. Or send it to me and I’ll do it for a lot cheaper than what that controller cost
