My therapist told me this: the relationship is composed of two people. If this happens I also must take accountability for what happened. I didn’t chase or beg. But I sent him a message to say him I was sorry for all my mistakes as well, and that I let him go to a person that could make him happier than me. I still love him, it hurts. But love is freedom not possession. If you love someone you have to let him go. And if he truly loves you and is part of God’s plan, he will come back as a new person that changed and healed
