im a plumber in WV, and every video I watch those house traps seem to be more problems than they are good. what's the benefits in it other than sewer not back feeding in the house?

House traps are the most ridiculous plumbing code I’ve ever seen. Thankfully in Iowa we rely on venting everything properly and it’s never a concern. I understand a backwater valve on anything below the manhole but what a ridiculous requirement.

Most are in new england or cities that are very old. Pretty rare in central Fl apparently.. haven’t seen one yet, been here a month or two past a year.
