I feel every word. I went through the same: stroke, hit by a car, then homelessness. I promised myself I’d run another 100 miles and I refuse to give up. I moved slow, kept showing up — even ran 200 marathons in a year — and at Marathon 162 I finally gained movement back in my hand. I’m still homeless, but I’m looking forward to the future. If you want, we can train together — slow miles, yoga, breathing, build back the strength. You got this.🙏💕👍 — Ade”

Not the same, but, my husband suffered a spontaneous widowmaker heart attack at age 39. 3 months later he was in complete heart failure awaiting a transplant… During his transplant, he aquired an infection and went septic. He went into multi organ failure, cardiac arrest of his new heart, was brought back with CPR, ventilator, the whole nine yards. Months in the hospital… Went from the strongest man I ever knew physically to 130lb shell. Skin, bones, couldn’t walk, nothing… seeing him like that did something to me that I’ll never recover from. And watching him come back to life after that was the most incredible thing I ever witnessed. Life isn’t perfect. We have our struggles. And transplant brings its own set of worries and issues but we made it. And so did you and what a story you have. Much love 🖤

I’m a stroke nurse, thank you for sharing your journey - I get to be with you at the beginning, and see my patients through to the rehab part and I am so proud of all it takes to get them to next steps but seeing the rest of the journey - thank you!

I am so glad Logan is doing better, my 23 year old daughter just had a significant stroke and we still have no answers why. Fortunately she she is doing pretty good. She also had a 1 year old son.
