@melaniesandford18: You don’t want to be without elderberry extract this cold and flu season! I’m in love with the one by @Blessed Botanicals because it also contains mullein which is amazing for lung health, as well as as star anise which also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties as well as digestive properties, California poppy and hops which are anxiolytic herbs that can help to calm the body and reduce stress and anxiety. If you were interested in the one I have it is available in my bio link— right underneath my username—second link down you can use the code melly15 for 15% off. Here are the health benefits of elderberry: they are a potent source of antioxidants, including anthocyanins and flavonoids that can boost the immune system and protect against infections. Studies have shown that elderberry extract can help reduce the duration of severity of cold and flu. They are one of the highest antioxidant containing fruits and that can help to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals which can contribute to chronic diseases like heart disease, and the big C. Elderberry can also help with regulating blood sugar levels and reducing insulin resistance, and they’re good source of fiber, and that can also promote a healthy digestive system. They can also help with heart health by lowering cholesterol levels and improving blood flow. They are anti-inflammatory because of the compounds called polyphenols which can help reduce pain and swelling associated with conditions like arthritis and gout. My favorite time to start taking elderberry is when I know people are sick around me and I want to avoid getting sick or if I am sick I use it to help to shorten the duration of my cold or flu. I take 2 mL twice a day under the tongue. It’s best to consult your doctor before using herbal supplements, especially if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or on medication. This is not medical advice and I’m not a medical professional. #n#naturalremediese#elderberry

@mellysandford I watch you all the time! My question is- you talk about many herbs and their uses, but there are sooo many different herbs- how do we know what to take and when? How long to take before moving on to the next? Example: How long to drink a hibiscus tea, then a nettle tea and so on? Should we take a remedy for a week and then move on to a different remedy, then move on to the next, then start over? How do we know? There are sooo many herbs that there’s no way to try them all… I made fire honey and added garlic . Black seed and thyme- is that something I should always take or go on and off of? What is the proper way to get different herbs in me for vitamin, colds, ect..
