avian flu is dangerous and real threat to BC poultry. these owners neglected to follow proper biosecurity procedures and now the birds must be put down. is it sad yes but now it's getting politicized and way out of hand. They have challenged the decision and lost in court. All of their rights have been respected. They are complaining because they don’t like it!!!

As a last ditch effort, is there a first nations reserve around that would let you relocate the ostriches there, even just temporarily? The reserve would have to be an alignment with your values, but I know there’s a bunch of additional steps that would need to be takento get the animals, if it was even possible. Might buy time at least if there was a local reserve that also wanted the safety ostriches.

Sorry, peeps but the RCMP do not have to give you a file number for the courts. It is not the law when they see the property. Stop listening to social media laws because they are not correct. The RCMP in Canada can see the property and do not have to give the owners a court file number at all.
