Rural Romania still breathes in rhythms older than highways and glass towers. In thousands of villages scattered between the Carpathians and the Danube plains, calves like this one are born into landscapes that have barely changed in centuries. Wooden barns, slow mornings, the low murmur of cattle and the patience of farmers who know that the first steps of a calf are as meaningful as the first steps of a child. Here, life begins quietly, on hills brushed by sunlight and guarded by watchful mothers. And watching that fragile wobble, that stubborn attempt to rise, something ancient stirs in you.
