I lived in Northern California late 80s when the severe drought was going on and the foundation of former buildings in the town of Berryessa were actually visible. You could walk down probably half a mile from the original shoreline to where the water was so low.

the glory hole has always freaked me out. it's not that scary when the water is low but when it's spilling down into the glory hole it looks really scary. I think there's only been one person who intentionally jumped in there
