@yourfavidiot26: @her.man201224 People used to say long distance would never work, and I thought that was stupid, because hearts picked people not places, and it killed me that my person was 811.4 kilometres away, but that never meant I didn’t love him like he lived next door. It also didn’t mean it wasn’t hard, I had never missed someone so deeply who I hadn’t actually lost, and missing him was one of the most difficult things I had ever done. Watching all the other couples get to have the little things, like goodbye kisses or falling asleep to the sound of their heartbeat instead of goodnight whispered through the phone, it was tough, but it was all worth it the moment I ran into his arms and I was home again. It drove me crazy not being able to be there with him, but it would have been worse to simply not be his at all. My boyfriend is honestly the most special person I know, he’s six foot with the softest heart, even if he doesn’t always see it himself. He’s only a year and a bit older than me, but he takes care of me like he’s been doing it his whole life. His love language is definitely physical touch and quality time, which I love because it means I always get his closeness and attention. He’s the guy who’d rather stay in than go out, unless it’s to see me, and even though he hates big crowds, I know he’d walk through anything just to hold my hand. He’s got nine tattoos (and still wants more), a serious addiction to white Monster (it tastes like lemonade on steroids in my opinion), and while he’s tough, he’s also the kindest soul, the one who volunteered in school and always looked out for the younger kids. Music is everything to him, especially country and old timey dad music, I’d Be Delighted by Waylon Wyatt used to be his favourite song and it always reminds me of him whenever I hear it. I love knowing I’m his safe place and he is mine. Long distance was just a big step in building a life that was ours, and now we have begun to live it. he will always be my favorite person in the world, and I love him today, tomorrow, always, and forever no matter what.
