notice how throughout the manga Vanitas’s appearance has slight changes he looks softer and more majestic as Noe gets to know him I think a highlight of this is the rooftop scene after their fight when Noe sees Vanitas at his highest point of vulnerability when he finally opens the door to Noe (this is just my interpretation you can argue art style change but I really feel at least this panel was intentional)
