Kidney bean :
I understand where you are coming from and agree that if you pop medicine like candies with no regard for the instruction label (ie, daily dosage limitation, what to avoid, etc), negative repercussions may arise. But we should also look at things objectively and in a case by case manner for when medication is/isn’t warranted and at what capacity. This is why research is so important. Every study builds on each other to help yield reliable and conclusive evidential findings. Even then, you also have to look at the type of study conducted; this will tell you how strong and reliable the study and its findings are. After that, you have to critically evaluate the research study itself. Doctors, scientists, and researchers continuously do this to eliminate any factors that could render the findings questionable and implausible such as bias, data fabrication/falsification, if the same or similar results cannot be reproduced, selective reporting, conflicts of interest, etc. This is why we can’t just trust any one or few research articles at face value and all the more reason why continued research is needed to build on previously reported studies. I hope that helps!
