I've learnt (the hard way) not to twist them otherwise the little loops get destroyed in the fabric and then boom it's not microfibre any more

i work cleaning houses, and the ones i use in the kitchen usually stinks even if i wash them in the washing machine. what you suggest?

I recommend boiling them first then a wash like this. This opens the micro fibers to release the debris trapped (that makes it smell). Use unscented detergent for washing. NO fabric softener (it ruins microfiber)!

I just do regular cycles in the wash with an extra rinse cycle. comes out clean and still maintaining their durability.
