@just.etel: A lot of people said my back is already strong enough for the muscle up, and that I need to work dips, well.. I honestly have no idea what else to train for this skill anymore for it to not look like a struggle 🥲 (this was also after a cardio sesh in which I burned 200 cals) so maybe it was fatigue but idk #fyp #calisthenics #workout #muscleup #dips
go lil lighter to get to that depth
partials won't do much

If you’re using dips as a training tool to help you with muscle ups there are a few things to change with your reps. To start, you don’t have great range of motion. This will hurt your muscle-ups progress because when you put yourself over the bar in a muscle ups you’re not going to be hit off the bar near the top of a dip, instead you’re going to be much lower. So training dips down to same depth that you’re at in a muscle up will help you greatly. Also, do some dip training on a straight bar instead of a dip bar. It’s more specific to the muscle up and will help with technique. But right now imo your dip strength is not your limiting factor, it seems to be that you’re missing power development in the pull portion of the muscle up, and your technique could use work.
