you say that about cars over 100k miles but my 2019 Ford Fusion with 193k miles has all 4 factory Shocks, struts and water pump and none of the above are blown out or weeping. japanese cars are junk evidently

Pro tip… if the shocks go out, replace them. Once they’re done, they put extra stress on the rest of the components and will cause more wear on whatever isn’t already broken. Don’t wait for it all at once, unless you’re fixing it yourself it’s pretty pricey. I did my old Honda and I think for parts and tools it came out to 1500, dealer quoted me like 3500-4000 for the same work.

as a Toyota owner, that "maintenance required visit your dealer" 99% of the time is an every 5k maintenance alert post 2020, unless you check codes and there is some its literally the "maintenance light"

I bought a used car with over 100k and that’s EXACTLY what was wrong with it. Had to get front end totally rebuilt and ended up just selling it cheap
