@madie.franklin: A huge part of my grief is watching my mom lose herself in her grief. In some ways I feel like I have lost both parents even though they are physically here. Grieving the versions I knew of them for 28 years has changed me in ways I can’t even describe #anoxicbraininjury #grief #cardiacarrest #heartattack #fyp
Man now imma have to follow you because I love your dad so much

Your mom is a rock. My dad suffered a massive stroke that medically retired him. My mom became a working mom and the feeling of losing both your parents is real. Watching the people you love the most disappear even when they are physically here is something I wish people would never have to live through. Keep your head up!

My oldest and middle child were in a car accident with their father. The car rolled multiple times, and most of the damage was on the passenger side, where my middle child was. My oldest and their dad were fine, but my middle had to be life flighted to the children’s hospital where he was diagnosed with a TBI. Looking back at pictures of my oldest from while his brother was in the hospital is haunting, it was like he was a shell of himself. The spark came back as soon as he got to see his brother again when he came home from the hospital. Grieving someone who is still alive is such a complex thing, and not many people understand.

My dad also has an anoxic brain injury, he was down for 45 mins after a heart attack. When he woke up from a coma he basically has amnesia now. It’s so hard to grieve someone that’s still here infront of you, trying to be grateful they’re still here but also missing your old life & people don’t always get it. I see you, I hear you, & even though I’m a stranger, I really get it & am here for you 🤍 prayers for your entire family

I just watched all your videos and wanted to say how insanely beautiful your family is. I lost my step dad to a heart attack in 2021. Seeing your family love and cherish him so hard just as he is, is so beautiful. You guys are amazing. ❤️🩹

Living this. My father had a massive stroke on June 10th. He lost his ability to speak, walk, mobility in his right arm. He knows who we are, but he will never ever be the same. My mother has thrown herself 100% into caring for him. He stayed in the hospital 45 mins away from us for two months, and she was there everyday. Just crazy to see this side of my parents. So I get it girl 🥺❤
