HOA rules are ridiculous. you pay money for a house. you should be able to do what you want with it. I shouldn't have these group of own people telling me that I I can't put shingles on my house and I have to get barrel tile or that my house can only be certain colors or that I can't have a shed

vauge descriptors like "tasteful" and "adds value" are the issue with HOA's. they are arbitrary restrictions that are used to police residents and bully them out of their properties with fines.

Nah the trash can one is ridiculous. Especially if people work super long shifts and don’t get home until super late and don’t want to disturb neighbors with the sound of their trash cans. AND my hoa charges us a fee and we don’t have any trails, pools, or centers we get to use
