@nationalfocus008: Heavy rainfall leaves Lekki estate residents trapped in flood By Timothy Atoyebi Residents of Lekki, Lagos, were badly affected by the heavy downpour of rain yesterday, as severe flooding hit parts of the area. A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) showed the level of destruction in Lekki horizon estate Meadow Hall Way, Lekki, where floodwaters nearly covered the bodies of several cars parked in the estate. Some vehicles were seen submerged up to the windows, while others appeared stuck in the rising water. The flood did not spare homes within the estate, as many houses were filled with water, leaving residents stranded indoors. For many, stepping outside became almost impossible as the water levels blocked pathways and entrances. The situation left residents worried and frustrated, as the combination of submerged vehicles and flooded homes disrupted daily activities. Families were forced to remain indoors as they struggled to manage the damage caused by the downpour.
