@strucket: Thank you @goldenhour.knitwear for sharing. “Every time I block or wash one of my superwash sweaters and pull it out of my bowl of water, I’ve got a sleeve or the body of the sweater falling out of my hands and weighed down by water, stretching it out. It’s always been a concern of mine (we spend SO much time and effort knitting these things that we LOVE out of precious materials – I’d hate to ruin it just in the blocking/washing phase 😅) so I’ve always been eager to try out a Strucket. Thanks to @strucket for sending one my way to give it a shot. Remember – when washing your hand knits, use COLD water (even if it’s superwash wool), don’t agitate too much (especially if it’s nonsuperwash wool), and lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight (to keep your colors looking as beautiful as they did in the skein – the sun can fade even high-grade, professional dyes!) For off season knits like these, I like to store them in vacuum seal bags (to save space) and in air tight totes until I’m ready to wear them again in the next year!
