I live in Sarasota this place is a JOKE! Its awful. The city and county are ruined. Out of control development, politicians in the pockets of greedy developers, traffic and the people moving here, too many wealthy you know who’s🔴

I’m so over these tall disgusting bldgs. The downtown is a horrific mess, can’t drive on the streets, no sun reaching the streets - looks like Miami

I just moved from that area. Lived next to Ritz-Carlton. Loved the views, but the traffic in the height of season has become unbearable. The roundabouts help but not enough.

Is this actually happening or proposed? No old people here want to live in condos, the people that do can’t afford it, the people that can afford it will either move back to New York in a few or live there for a time and go to a house I don’t see this flourishing in Sarasota- as it’s not Miami or even Tampa

The Hyatt and that area are lovely. But I’m confused as to how Sarasota is going to deal with this massive flux traffic and people. They are building so many luxury high rises, condos apartment buildings gated community shopping centers. And the plowing down of the natural land leaves no way to protect the inhabitant and the land during a hurricane and makes the hurricanes that much stronger. But nobody cares so oh well.
