The issue with IVF is that you never know if the egg sticks. You can place two and get twins. Or lose em both. You can place one with the intention Charlie has and lose it. For 99% of ppl IVF as he describes it is unattainable bc it would involve a wide genetic panel on every embryo created to then discard the ones who will never implant due to genetic issues and then after that you even have genetic issues that pop up during implantation and cell division. Some embryos just ‘run out of gas’ and stop reproducing

whether you agree with either stance, can we all agree that both parties were very respectful? and charlie would always point out that there’s a difference between his morals and his political stance. he’s allowed to have his feelings but also go against himself politically. he knows how to separate them.

He clearly had no understanding of IVF, doctors don’t place multiple embryos in the uterus at the same time, and collecting numerous eggs at once isn’t immoral, it allows people to go back and have siblings. Most people don’t have a surplus of embryos left over
