Yes we ought to turn to Allah at all times, but making people feel shame for turning to Tahajjud and Allah during their most darkest times is not it gurl. Sometimes it is those exact lonely nights that we’re crying on our prayer mats that make us want to be more consistent in worship.

I honestly don't think it's bad to romanticize tahajjud. The definition of romanticize is to make something seem better than it really is, but tahajjud is exactly as good as it seems. Getting up for just one prayer is already hard so every night is ideal ofc but very difficult. Also isn’t the point of tahajudd to ask Allah for what your heart desires? correct if im wrong? 😭

Every single time I have prayed Tahhajud it is when I am in desperate need of something or a change. Allah has come through for me and I have become closer to Allah as a result of this. I am now incorporating it into my daily routine. It’s actually brought me immense peace. If romanticising something gets people to do it so be it, the reward is sooo damn sweet. Every. Single. Time.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t that the whole point of Tahajud? Also isn’t Tahajud by invite only, if you catch yourself praying Tahajud only when you need something from Allah then Allah personally allowed & invited you to do so for a reason only he knows. Allah knows best.

😬 tahajjud isn’t suppose to be read like a farz. Allah himself has told us to beg him for whatever just we desire. Make longer duas, perform extra nafl. Tahajjud is ‘romantic’ just as ‘romantic’ as when Allah invites us to his house to perform umrah or hajj. A special and personal invite for you from Allah.

I think we over complicate everything. Allah is Al razzaq, Al karim, Al wahab, he loves to give us, he loves us to ask and remember him, and rely on him for everything. You can love Allah and also ask Allah. The prophet never said don’t ask Allah…. Why do people complicate things so much. Let people find and love Allah. Don’t push people away from the Deen. Allah is merciful and loving.

Tahajjud is Sunnah! Yes it is advised to do it often if we can but we should be careful and cannot shame people who do it when they need something because who should they ask if not Allah? Let’s advise without poking holes in what they are already doing - it’s sunnah

Let’s also remember it’s not by your wanting that you’ll pray Tahajjud but it’s only by Allah’s calling that you get to stand up for qiyam layli (tahajjud). Can we not make people feel bad for begging Allah at particular times

Even if it is romanticized what is the issue with it? People are getting up to speak to Allah, and doing it from their heart as a humble servent seeking help from The Only One who can. People say the same thing about romanticizing listening to the Qur'an. " Youre only listening bc of their voice ect. " Who cares? It's better than not praying at all, better than blasting music. No one knows whats in the hearts of others. Be wary of assuming harshly against your fellow Brothers and Sisters.

Deep! I also reminds me about the verse in Surahtul-Hajj where Allah tells us about those who worship Allah on a knife-point…. And among mankind is he who worships Allah as it were, upon the very edge (i.e. in doubt); if good befalls him, he is content therewith; but if a trial befalls him, he turns back on his face. He loses both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss.

i don’t think there’s anything wrong with romanticising tahajjud. Not everyone is even able to wake up and pray at that time, it’s only if Allah calls you to it. And once you taste the sweetness of the night prayer, it’s something your heart will always long for again and again. Even the smallest step towards it can open the door to other consistent habits, like strengthening your five daily prayers.

walla I understand all yalls points but I think the most important thing is that they are atleast praying it and insha'Allah getting rewards. maybe the approach is not the best but it's better than doing nothing. Allah sees the effort❤

I disagree. Yes tahajjud should be implemented daily into your life yes. But the entire idea of tahajjud is to pray it whrn you want something. Which is why it’s not compulsory
