@tilscience: We’ve been carrying pollution factories in our pockets this whole time (and no, it’s not our phones) Your morning commute (transportation in general) = THE biggest source of climate pollution in America - bigger than factories or power plants. And we’re seeing this affect us in real time: 8-10% of American kids now have asthma, but the good news is we already have the tech to fix this. Electric vehicles aren’t a sci-fi fantasy anymore, they’re here, and the science on their health benefits is crystal clear! #pollution #globalwarming #cleanenergy #environment #cars
As long as I don’t have to learn manual or drive a Tesla, I’m all for it

Electric vehicles are NOT the answer. Research Lithium mining. Also those large batteries that are under those electric cars do NOT last very long so they end up in landfills. lol I expect better research/reporting out of you. I usually like your content.😂

Can you mention how the 15 biggest cruise ships/container ships produce just as much pollution per year as every single vehicle on the road, on the entire planet. That’s over a billion vehicles. Produce just as much pollution as 15. Yet we’re the ones that need to cut it back

This is great, we need a video on gas stoves now. Having a gas stove has the same health and mortality effects as living with an indoor cigarette smoker.

EVs are great, but to get the resources to make them, we have to destroy so much of the planet, too

TLDR: The largest source of greenhouse gas emissions from human activities in the U.S. is, burning fossil fuels for electricity, heat, AND transportation ❤

Reminder we aren’t quite there yet! While they may be better for the lungs, we plug electric cars into energy sources like our homes often powered by coal, meaning we are still burning off tons of bad things to the atmosphere when charging them!

My next car will absolutely be electric for this reason. It’s just hard to justify going out and spending $20k-40k on a new car when my current car works fine. I’m keeping an eye on used ev’s but most are still pretty expensive.
