I don't necessarily blame Andrea. I do place blame on Rusty though. He knew Andrea was not to be left alone with the children. And if it was just an hour, he could've waited.

I remember when this happened…I had a young daughter and I was so heartbroken for everyone. HOWEVER, do a deeper dive on the role that Rusty played in PRESSURING her to have more kids despite the deterioration of her mental health/post partum psychosis.

Everyone here failed her but especially her husband. He knew she wasn’t supposed to be left alone. Also that she should not have any other kids.

There's no one to blame but the husband. They were told to stop having kids, but he didn't listen and went on to have a 5th child. I know it takes two to tango, but between the two of them, he was the only one who was at the right state of mind to actually make sound decisions at the time. He was also advised to never leave his wife alone with the kids, to which again he failed to follow. It's all his fault.

My mom was a CO at Andrea’s unit for a while. My mom’s a tough critic, but she felt so much heartbreak for Andrea and for her babies, and she felt she didn’t belong in prison but under psychiatric care due to the PPP.

this case has always made me so angry. did she do something horrible? yes. was she 100% to blame? absolutely not. her husband, doctor and pastor knew she was not ok. I truly do feel for her.
