OMG the part that actually p***es me off the most about the final scene is the line "Yet mom's hardly in the story". NO S*** SHERLOCK! THE STORY IS HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER! Stories where people recount them meeting others often doesn't have a lot of the person they're meeting as it's about the experiences that led them to meet. He told all that he could. Its just bad writing, ironically the worst in the finale

I like to think that in the end both Ted and Tracy returned to their loves, as if they returned to the people they were destined for (Ted with Robin, Tracy with Max) and I love that.
