EASY NO KNEAD DUTCH OVEN BREAD!!! INGREDIENTS: * 3 1/2 cups +3 tablespoons flour * 1 3/4 teaspoons kosher salt * 1 tablespoon yeast * 1 teaspoon sugar * 1 egg * 3 tablespoons very softened (not melted) butter * 1 1/2 cups warm water DIRECTIONS: > Mix dough 3 hours before baking. > Add dry ingredients to large mixing bowl. Lightly fluff with a fork. > Add egg, softened, butter, and warm water. (around 110°. If no thermometer, temperature of water you could comfortably wash your hands in). > Mix dough with fork (or hand stainless steel dough hook). Mix until ingredients are mixed and shaggy, tacky dough forms. Cover bowl with saran wrap. (I use a plastic shower cap). Let dough rise for 2 1/2 hours. > Flour surface. Gently remove dough from bowl with spatula. Bring all the edges to the center and flip dough ball over. Don’t over disturb the nice bubbles that have formed in the dough. Twist dough in a circle as you are gently tucking the edges under. Place on piece of parchment paper. Lightly sprinkle with flour & cover with saran wrap. > Preheat oven to 450° with the Dutch oven inside for 30 minutes as dough rises. > Remove Dutch oven from the oven. Place dough with parchment paper into Dutch oven. (works just fine. If you don’t have parchment paper, you can place the dough directly into the Dutch oven.) Place lid on top > Place the oven into the oven. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove lead and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes or until nice and browned. > Remove from oven and place bread on cooling rack. Cool for at least 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
