For me, I preordered Alchemised because I thought SinLinYu deserved to be paid for her writing. I couldn’t pay her for Manacled but could support her via Alchemised. I’ve already started Alchemised and it’s so good I love it already! She’s an amazing writer and I’m glad we have Alchemised now 🥰

I actually highly recommend NOT reading Manacled before Alchemised. If you would want to definitely after. I loved the book but I ADORED Manacled. I had a hard time comparing the two. Which is totally on me.

Alchemised is like eating the fruit your mom cut up for you but it still has remnants of garlic from the cutting board and knife. Manacled is the garlic of despair that forever coats the fruit 💔💔

I‘m only 200 pages in but so far she did a very good job with it. You can definitely read it without knowing manacled but at the same time it has all the important parts from manacled in it and that is not always easy. The world building is just excellent

I haven’t read manacled yet but trust I will! But after alchemised she 1000% deserves to be paid. That book is a masterpiece and that writing deserves to be paid for. In my opinion, with time it should be classed as a Classic Fantasy. You could have hours upon hours of the deeper discussions on political conversations, systems and underbelly of war that relate back to our world and atrocities committed within it. Not to mention the reality of the traumas the characters endured. You can speak about that for hours too. Masterpiece.

I just finished alchemised . I cried a million times with manacled I cried just as much with alchemised 🖤 literally grieving for the fmc but also happy for the fmc and mmc 🖤 but still grieving . That last bit always gets me”she did not fight” I wanna scream 😫😫

i remember her years ago expressing how difficult it was to publish Manacled on its own so she probably won't (that if she'd choose from her fics, she'll probably choose that one tomione fic (forgot the title)). So I was really happy when she announced Alchemised. The work she did to create this whole new world and keep the same feelings it conveys is so amazing.
