the sadest part is it takes a forest. small non adjoining native patches just isn't enuff to sustain our ecosystem. 🙃 its failing in nearly every aspect that is life. im afraid the damage from human greed will never be repaired. worst bit it corporate act like we can just go buy another earth😉😆

You lost me at coffee. Between 2001–2015 nearly 2 million hectares of forest were replaced by coffee (about 0.8 Mha arabica, 1.1 Mha robusta), with hotspots in Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Indonesia and Vietnam. That’s a direct pulse of CO₂ from land clearing and a long-term loss of carbon storage.

I'm doing that with my little 1 acre lot. planted dozens of native trees and plants. my focus is food for wildlife (and sometimes me) and restoring the soil quality. it is such rewarding work 😊
