Are you on track? 👇🏻 Have you completed steps 1-6? No. Do that first. Done? Cool. Retirement may feel like it’s miles in the distance… but it will be here one day and the question is, how do you want it to look? Years of cutting back and living frugally because you’re living on a state pension of £220 per week? … or years of hobbies, holidays and reaping the rewards of a life of hard work? The version you receive is a direct result of how well you invested in your future and, crucially, how often you reviewed your retirement along the way to see what you’re on track for. You may be paying into a work scheme. Brilliant. You’ll be getting matched contributions from your employer, boosting your pension. Do you know what it’s going to provide for you though? If not, time to check. You may be funding a personal pension. Also brilliant, you’ll be benefitting from plenty of tax relief, lowering your tax now and building your wealth for tomorrow. Have you looked at what it’ll do for you in retirement though? If not… time. To. Check. You may not be investing in your retirement… and if that’s you, then it’s time to get used to the idea of a very boring retirement. The key, regardless of what you are doing, is to have reviewed what the likely outcome is. Knowing what your current plans will do for you will tell you whether there is a need for change. Whether you need to change your plan, invest more… or whether you’re quite happy with what you’re doing. You don’t know that though, unless you’ve taken the time to understand it. No idea where to start? Seek some advice to help you completely understand it. 👉🏻 like daily money content?
