@samlyne_: RECOVERY Recovery is just as important as anything else that you are doing. Most people think that they grow in the gym, but they are wrong. The gym is actually where we break down our muscles causing microtears in the muscle fibres so that is exactly why having a solid recovery routine is so important because that’s where our body actually grows and repairs those muscle fibres making them bigger and stronger Here are the top 3 best ways to recover 1. Sleep. This is the most important both for your physical and mental health. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep every single night. 2. Nutrition. You can’t out train a bad diet. Make sure you are eating enough calories to provide energy for your training and to actually help you grow. If you don’t know where to start, I recommend tracking your calories with MacroFactor. 3. Hydration. So important and often neglected. Make sure you’re drinking at least 2 to 3 L of water every day and mixing in electrolytes both during and after training to replenish some of those micro nutrients that we lose when we sweat. Don’t overcomplicate your recovery just focus on those three things and do them extremely well and your recovery will be good
