@chelseyrosehealth: There’s one population that doesn’t log their calories, they *think* they’re not eating that much, they average less than 8K steps a day and they assume their lack of weight loss is from not eating enough - And then there’s the population who ACTUALLY isn’t eating enough based on their activity. When I speak with a new online client and they tell me that they are: ⁃ Strength training 3 days per week ⁃ Hitting 10K steps minimum ⁃ Fiercely tracking their calories and can say without hesitation that they’re hitting their protein daily and are sticking to their calorie intake And they have 15+ lbs to lose that isn’t budging…I start looking into other factors How’s their sleep? Are they breastfeeding? Aka asking their body to expend even more energy which requires calories?? If so then we have to think about the fact that they’re burning calories through just living (their BMR) + their strength training workouts (asking their body to build muscle that is also calorically expensive) + moving all day long (burning cals through walking, cleaning, running errands), and on top of that maybe pumping ore breastfeeding which burns and requires calories. If this person is under eating then it makes sense that their body will hold onto energy aka fat.
