@rabbi_shais_taub: Can people change? Of course they can. And you should definitely work on your own change. But if you are asking about someone else changing….not such a good plan. #changeispossible #spiritualgrowth #innerwork #soulwisdom #jewishwisdom

I don’t think you need to radically. I know I was a decent person before. I think you can change a lot. Pre bipolar and even bipolar I was a good person. But without meds and therapy the problem was I wasn’t consistent. And people were confused. I got the treatment and actively worked on being a better person. Even at 63 I’m changing. I only realized a couple of years ago I’m co dependent on my kids

💯 you can change. As a person who has gone through a transformation it's hard and it takes looking in the mirror and taking action. Often people fail due to not wanting to change and the commitment it takes.

We are stuck with our characters and we always return to form…you may acquire new habits and replace old ones but it will always be “you”; you have been ‘given’ God gave you yourself.

My response is always, “He might be able to change, but he’ll never do it for you. If ‘old you’ dated him as he’s comfortable and familiar being, you’ll never convince him that it’s less scary for him to change himself than it is for him to wear you down, trap you, or replace you.” Sucks, but that’s the truth. Your way of saying it goes down much gentler though. 👏
