Do you guys sharpen your scrapers? Or just design your prints so you don’t need a scraper? Curious

it's spring steel. flex the bed and it releases. let bed cool it releases. scraping will shorten bed lifespan. use plastic razors. u can print them and the can't damage pei plate

Just 3-D print a scraper and you don’t have to worry about sharpening it. I don’t use metal on my bill plates. I would definitely stay away from metal.

Sharpe the edge but dull the corners so you don’t scratch your plate. 💜

I'm hoping to get into 3d printing in the very near future and will keep this hack in mind. It looks like people have opinions on their scraping methodology. I appreciate insight from someone with a printer farm operation, and understands the engineering of build plates.

🤔I actually accidentally destroyed my brass build plate using a sharpened Steel scraper like that. It literally shaved the texture right off and would not level afterwards. Had to get a new plate.
