Gm 6L80/90’s can also have this problem because they have those plastic diaphragms as well. Luckily, out of all the transmissions I’ve rebuilt that have those plastic diaphragms. I’ve never had to change one out in my life so far never had one broken. After watching this video, I’ll probably have one come in next week That’ll have this problem. 😂

Basshead Mechanic :
nice job fixing it. tired of these manufacturers with their "throw away" mentality of perfectly serviceable parts.

did this on my 2010, stressful to think of but it's rather simple if you don't rush it

There's lots of brake valves on semi trucks that I fix for about 25 cents of parts. option 1, 2 hours to change the valve but option 2, 3 minutes and 4 bolts just to change the diaphragm, without taking the valve out.

I'd be making my own out of thin metal why use plastic it'll just fail again because plastic ages and bakes in the transmission.

Finally a tech that’s fixing the problem instead of replacing the whole unit to make a couple more bucks. I know a mechanic on tik tok that would not do it this way. Awesome job
