I am sure that most of you have heard of this horribly sad story of the missing 7 month old baby that allegedly was kidnapped from a department store in California. Well this case has been shaky from the very beginning, with both parents changing their stories. Both parents refusing to take lie detector tests without a attorney present. And with the father having a conviction of Child cruelty on his record where he served 180 days in jail and 48 months of probation. So if you are unfamiliar with this case lets get into the facts. On August 14 around 8pm the Mother Rebecca Haro was outside of a Big 5 retail store and claimed she was outside of her car changing her son’s diaper in California. She claims a man yelled at her then hit her in the face and knocked her unconscious and when she woke up baby Emmanuel was gone and she has no idea where he went. Now as of this morning the Police have confirmed that both parents have now decided they will not longer cooperate with Police going forward. As to the charges the father Jake Haro faced and was convicted of it was from a previous relationship that did not end well. And he wound up beating a child to the point the child suffered brain damage. It is unclear if this the child of the woman he was dating or if this was his child as well. But regardless he has already had one conviction of cruelty to a child. Now Police began to see that Rebeccas started to have inconsistencies in her story and when the Police started to question her on those, she decided she would no longer speak with police or cooperate with them going forward. A nonprofit organization has pulled his $5,000 reward money due to her inconsistencies and refusal to work with the Police to locate her son. They said quote “We cannot in good conscience utilize our team and resources when so much is missing in this case. Of particular concern to us lies within the inconsistencies in the details and the sudden decision by the mother to end communication with law enforcement and our team. Tell me what parent would do that who has a missing child? Something is not right in this whole picture.’ Now on Saturday Police did go to the Haro home with cadaver dogs to do a search of the home and property looking for Emmanuel or evidence of his disappearance and they did find blood.
