You have to buy heels with the right heel placement. If the heel is positioned at the very back of the shoe it’s going to be painful. If the heel is located further in, it will be easier to walk in because it provides actual support.

Honestly all heels get uncomfortable, but it’s really about breaking the shoes in. The more you wear heels the stronger your ankles get which allows less pain.
