Madoka -- I worked on this project (I think) at the beginning of summer. I have since lost all motivation to continue. A month ago, I stopped making any progress on this animation. Eventually it became too much and trying was becoming more and more of a burden. The truth is I have multiple projects like this left unfinished, unwatched, unseen. As of writing this I've been reminded of it. But I decided I'll post it unfinished as I don't plan on completing it anymore. You may view it in its potential, as a reminder of what could've been. But I watched it again and, it was beautiful. Without a vision of what it was meant to be, I view it in hindsight, and with my time today I wish to convince you to create your own piece. It can be anything you desire, just truly make it from the heart, whether that be a favorite book, game, movie, show, I'll appreciate whatever you make. Leave it unfinished like this one if you want to, you can even only work on the ""idea"" and cut it off afterwards. I really only want to see proof that you put passion into something. Tag me on your favorite edits, create your own edit if you so desire, and don't judge others for their shortcomings. Because by hating on others for what they create, you begin to dehumanize them -- and then dehumanize yourself in the process. There is no need to set yourself to any standard if you only make it for yourself, and by making fun of others who pour their passions what good will that do when you inevitably do the same? I also come to realize many are demotivated by how arduous the process of growing is. But the truth is that this cycle of demotivation, of self loathing and hating your own artwork will never stop. As you continue growing you will find out that your standards will grow as fast as your skill does, that you will never meet your "minds eye". You will always compare and criticize what you currently make to what you originally envisioned, and to that I will give this as advice: make art for yourself. Sometimes you can create something just to make it, rather than just for practice. You've set your standards too high for you to feel enjoyment from something you love, and isn't that so upsetting? Even if you are a beginner, you will always face constant pushes and setbacks, but it'll never have to be hard if you are truly passionate and find employment from the craft. I wish the best of luck in your endeavors, and I hope that after reading this, you will have created something beautiful.
