I never wanted children. I met my husband and he did but I made it clear that wasn't for me which he accepted. 10 years in, he told me he really wanted a child and asked me to reconsider. I had my son 11 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. Interestingly, my husband was very happy with one child and it was actually me that very much wanted my daughter 7 years ago. I often wonder what life would be like without them, but honestly, I just can't. Equally, I'm sure we would have been happy either way. It's a very personal choice but I don't know anyone that's ever said they 'regret' having their child.

I’m 42, knew from a very young age that I never wanted kids and I’ve never changed my mind. My husband has 2 grown up kids and I get on brilliantly with them but the thought of having my own has never appealed. I love my life as it is!
