I’m confused as to why I can’t get into anime. I’m a neurodivergent person and yet the over emotional responses in these characters annoy me where as a show like last of us I enjoyed because of the more subtle cues. It feels realistic.

The thing I always like to point too, is that showing the characters inner thoughts is something you don’t get in other forms of video media. It helps us relate and recognize why they’re reacting the way they are, and gives more weight to those often exaggerated reactions..
